Rigby Lake

Rigby Lake (also known as Jefferson County Lake) offers a convenient boat ramp for non-motorized watercraft located about 12 miles south of Rexburg, just off the North Rigby exit on US-20. The ramp provides easy access to this calm, family-friendly lake ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Day-use fees are $6 per vehicle, with additional charges for pets ($2). The lake entrance fee is included in this daily rate.

The access area is well-developed with plenty of amenities to support a full day on the water. Facilities include sandy beaches, restrooms, picnic areas with both first-come-first-served and reservable shelters, a playground, walking trails, and 50 campsites with water and electric hookups for those wanting to stay overnight. The calm waters make Rigby Lake excellent for beginners and families, while the nearby Cress Creek Nature Trail and North Menan Butte Trail offer additional recreation opportunities in the area.
