Ringer Camping Area

The Ringer Camping Area boat ramp provides access to West Point Lake on the Chattahoochee River in Troup County, Georgia. This federal recreation area, known as McGee Bridge Park, offers a fishing pier, picnic sites, and a boat launch facility.

The Chattahoochee River in this section is generally flat and wide, though water levels and current can vary significantly depending on conditions. The area has about ten boat ramps spread across the park, making it a convenient option for both motorized and non-motorized boaters. Paddlers may find the Highway 16 bridge boat ramp near Whitesburg a good alternative launch point.
