About This Access Site
River Bluffs Regional Park in St. Cloud offers a convenient public boat landing on the Mississippi River with 18 dedicated parking spots. The 190-acre park provides access to this major waterway along with additional amenities including the paved Beaver Island Trail and hiking paths through wooded areas, making it a good base for both water and land recreation.

Paddlers and boaters should be aware that this section of the Mississippi is a major river with substantial flow—averaging over 685,000 cubic feet per second with typical velocities around 11 feet per second. The river at this location has a gentle gradient (0.8 ft/mile average), making it generally suitable for recreational paddling, though the current and volume demand respect and experience. The area is known for excellent smallmouth bass fishing and offers scenic bluffs and natural surroundings.
