About This Access Site
The River View Day Use Area on the Colorado River in Earp, California provides convenient river access for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. Located about 45 minutes south of Lake Havasu City, this day use site offers a boat ramp, picnic tables, and scenic river views.

The Colorado River is a major waterway, stretching over 1,000 miles from its headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico. At this location, the river has an average flow of around 14,000 cubic feet per second and a gradient of 8.7 feet per mile, making for lively yet navigable conditions. Paddlers and boaters can expect a fast-moving current and should exercise caution, especially during periods of high water.

The River View Day Use Area is open year-round for day use. Visitors are welcome to launch their non-motorized or small motorized vessels, enjoy a picnic, and take in the beautiful desert scenery along the river. For those seeking overnight accommodations, the Crossroads Campground is located within 10 miles of the site.
