About This Access Site
River Park offers convenient public access to the Wisconsin River and the 1,377-acre Mosinee Flowage. Located off River Road on the east side of the river in Mosinee, this site features a canoe portage and small boat landing suitable for kayaks, canoes, and other recreational boats. The access point provides a good starting point for exploring the scenic Wisconsin River corridor and the flowage's calm waters.

The Mosinee Flowage itself is a 716-acre impoundment with a maximum depth of 18 feet, offering diverse paddling opportunities from protected lake-like conditions to river channels. The area is known for excellent fishing (Musky, Panfish, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye) and scenic beauty. Paddlers should note that the site's proximity to Main Street and the Purple Circle Multi-Use Trail makes it accessible from downtown Mosinee, and facilities in town are nearby for supplies or services before heading out on the water.
