The River Road boat ramp provides convenient access to the scenic Wisconsin River and the 1,377-acre Mosinee Flowage in Mosinee. This public landing on the east side of the river is well-suited for canoes, kayaks, and small boats, with a dedicated canoe portage and boat launch. The flowage offers excellent conditions for paddling with a maximum depth of 18 feet and a mix of river scenery and open water.
The area is popular with anglers targeting Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Panfish. Paddlers can explore various routes on the Wisconsin River system—a notable 10-mile trip runs from the Fremont Street Landing just downstream of the Mosinee Dam to the Mead Avenue Landing at the DuBay Flowage. This location serves as a solid put-in point for day trips or longer paddling adventures through Marathon County's waterways.
