River Shoals Park is a 350-acre regional park offering excellent access to the upper Lower Saluda River for paddlers and small boaters. The site features two dedicated boat ramps suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats, plus a dedicated canoe launch area. In addition to water access, the park provides river observation decks, nature trails, and various recreational facilities along the scenic riverbank.
Visitors should plan to pay an entrance fee to access the park facilities. Once inside, staff will direct you to the upper boat launch area where you can launch your own kayak or canoe, or rent equipment on-site. The park is well-suited for paddling and offers convenient access to the Saluda River's upper section. Nearby, the Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests provide additional outdoor recreation opportunities in the region.
