Riverside County Park

Riverside County Park offers public boat access to the Oconto River, located approximately one mile south of Gillett on County Highway BB. This Oconto County-managed facility provides a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring this section of the river. The park is particularly popular during summer months for fishing and tubing activities, making it a well-established access point for the local paddling community.

The park includes docking facilities and serves as a good put-in for day trips on the Oconto River. Paddlers should be aware of potential whitewater sections downstream, including areas near Smythe Road. If planning extended trips, note that a maintained take-out is available off Tar Dam Road (before Tar Dam Road Bridge). The park area typically sees good use during peak season, so arriving early during weekends is recommended for convenient parking and launch access.
