About This Access Site
The Riverside boat ramp provides convenient public access to the Trinity River via Texas Highway 19, located just before the historic 1940s Highway 19 Bridge crossing. The ramp is situated on the left bank and offers a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. This location serves as a practical starting point for paddlers looking to explore this section of the Trinity River.

From this access point, paddlers can enjoy downstream trips with several notable creek confluences, including Huffman Creek (7 miles downstream on the right) and Long King Creek (3 miles downstream on the left), which is reportedly floatable at normal water levels. The area also provides good fishing opportunities. To reach the ramp from Riverside, take Texas 19 north approximately 10 miles—the ramp will be on your right before the bridge. The access point is suitable for both day trips and longer paddles on the Trinity River.
