About This Access Site
Riverside Park in Niagara offers a concrete boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small watercraft onto the Menominee River. As with most Marinette County launches, there is no dock—simply position your boat at the water line, board, and push off with your paddle. The ramp is approximately 16 feet wide with ample parking available.

The Menominee River at this access point is a substantial waterway (a large Order 7 stream) with considerable flow averaging 3,491 cubic feet per second and velocities around 4.7 feet per second. Paddlers should be prepared for moderately strong currents and plan accordingly. The river drops 521 feet in elevation over its 116-mile length, creating a gradient of approximately 4.5 feet per mile on average. This is a significant river system best suited for paddlers with river experience and appropriate fitness levels.
