Roberts Access is a boat ramp located on the main Snake River approximately 2 miles east of the town of Roberts, just south of Highway 48 in Washington County. This is an Idaho Fish and Game-managed facility offering day-use access on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that the ramp has undergone construction and improvements in recent years, so conditions may differ from older information. The site is known as a popular spot for waterfowl viewing and fishing, with relatively light recreational activity compared to other access points.
The Snake River at this location is a major river system (Stream Order 9) with substantial flow—averaging nearly 50,000 cubic feet per second—and a significant current averaging 10.81 feet/second. Paddlers and boaters should respect the river's power and be prepared for strong water conditions. The surrounding area features private property, so it's important to respect neighboring lands and stick to designated waterways and camping areas.
The Roberts site is conveniently located near outdoor recreation areas including Weiser Dunes and Clay Peak OHV areas if you're planning a multi-activity visit to the region. As with all Snake River access points, be sure to use designated launches and follow Idaho Fish and Game regulations.
