About This Access Site
Robious Landing provides easy access to the James River, a major waterway flowing through central Virginia. This boat ramp site offers a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The James River is a large, headwater stream with an average flow of over 12,700 cubic feet per second. It has a relatively gentle gradient of 2 feet per mile, making it suitable for a variety of paddling and boating activities. Kayakers and canoeists will find both flatwater sections as well as some Class IV rapids further downstream, catering to a range of skill levels.

The Robious Landing access site features a paved, non-motorized boat ramp, making it easy to launch your craft. The 102-acre park also includes hiking trails, picnic shelters, and other recreational amenities. This is an ideal spot to enjoy the scenic James River, whether you're fishing, leisurely paddling, or embarking on a more adventurous journey.
