About This Access Site
Rock Creek Marina provides a concrete boat ramp for accessing Fort Peck Lake's expansive waters. Located 30 miles south of Fort Peck on Highway 24 (near milepost 30), the site requires turning west and traveling 7 miles on a good gravel road. This is a non-reservable federal facility operated as part of the Fort Peck Project. Paddlers and boaters should note the 14-day stay limit for camping in the area.

The marina serves as a gateway to Fort Peck Lake's scenic bays and arms. From Rock Creek, you can access Hell Creek Bay (26 miles north of Jordan) and the South Fork of Rock Creek Bay (approximately 10 miles west via Highway 24), making it suitable for multi-day paddling trips. The concrete ramp is well-maintained, and the site is managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Plan accordingly for the gravel road access, and be aware that alternative routes to nearby bays are also on gravel or dirt roads.
