Rock Creek Marina provides boat ramp access to Fort Peck Lake, a major reservoir in northeastern Montana. This is a non-reservable, federal recreation facility managed as part of the Fort Peck Project. The access site is located 30 miles south of Fort Peck on Highway 24 (near milepost 30); turn west and continue 7 miles on a good gravel road to reach the facility.
This site serves as an excellent launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters exploring Fort Peck Lake's expansive waters. In addition to water-based recreation, the area offers hiking trails through forested terrain with opportunities to view local wildlife and mountain scenery. Visitors should note the 14-day maximum stay limit and plan accordingly for supplies, as services may be limited in this remote location. The gravel access road is suitable for most vehicles but may vary seasonally.
