Rock Lake

**Location & Facilities**
Rock Lake's public boat ramp is located on the east side of the lake in McGregor, Aitkin County. The access features parking for 7-8 vehicles with trailers and a boat launch suitable for most recreational boats up to 12-18 feet. There are no launch fees at this access site.

**Water Conditions**
Rock Lake is a small, shallow waterbody (1,124-acre watershed) in an agricultural area. Paddlers should expect poor water clarity, with a 10-year average visibility of only 3.3 feet. These conditions make it suitable for casual paddling and recreational boating, though visibility for underwater hazards is limited. The lake is well-positioned for exploring the quieter waters of Minnesota's lake country near McGregor, with nearby paddling opportunities at the Mississippi River Headwaters and Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge just five miles south.
