Rock Quarry Landing is a public boat ramp located on the Black Warrior River in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The ramp provides easy access to Holt Lake, a section of the Black Warrior River.
The Black Warrior River is a large, navigable waterway that flows for over 168 miles through the Appalachian Mountains. With an average flow of over 10,800 cubic feet per second and an elevation change of 182 feet, it offers a mix of flat water and mild rapids suitable for a variety of watercraft. The ramp's double-lane design makes it easy to launch kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats.
The site includes paved parking, composting toilets, and drinking water. It is located off New Watermelon Road, approximately a quarter-mile past the Publix supermarket. Boaters and paddlers should be aware that the ramp may be closed periodically for maintenance; it was recently closed for water line repairs from January 23 to February 12.
