Rocky Gorge

Rocky Gorge Campground offers a fully developed boat launch with dock facilities on the Kootenai River near Libby, Montana. The access features a paved road leading directly to the ramp, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats. This is a primary access point for paddlers exploring the upper Kootenai River and provides excellent entry onto the waterway for fishing and recreational boating.

The 60-site campground is first-come, first-served (non-reservable) and accommodates RVs up to 32 feet, with amenities including potable water, vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables. Located approximately 26 miles southwest of Eureka off Highway 37, Rocky Gorge serves as a solid base camp for multi-day paddling trips. The Kootenai National Forest surrounding the area provides scenic paddling opportunities, and public boat ramp access is distributed downstream all the way to River Road, making it easy to plan one-way trips or explore different sections of the river.

The Rocky Gorge Campground is located approximately 26 miles southwest of Eureka off Hwy 37.  The campground has 60 campsites including one host site, with tables, fire rings and some with tent pads and able to accomodate up to 32' rv. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, dock and a fully developed boat launch.
