About This Access Site
Roncerverte City Park offers convenient public access to the Greenbrier River, West Virginia's longest free-flowing river in the Eastern US. Located in this 20-acre community park along Route 219 South, the site provides a boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The park includes parking, picnic tables, drinking water, and horse trailer parking. For additional canoe access, the Caldwell Boat Launch is available just across U.S. 60.

Paddlers should be aware that the Greenbrier River's water levels can fluctuate significantly due to snow melt, heavy rainfall, and severe weather events, ranging from wadeable to flood stage. Plan your trip accordingly and check current conditions before launching. The nearby town of Lewisburg (4-7 miles away) offers groceries, services, and lodging for those planning extended paddling trips. As a state-maintained access site, Roncerverte City Park is part of West Virginia's extensive network of public fishing and boating access areas managed by the WVDNR.
