The ramp features a paved concrete boat landing with a short access approach (less than 50 yards), making it ideal for paddlers of all experience levels. Parking is available on-site, along with pit toilet facilities. The ramp is particularly popular with first-time boaters and those seeking calm-water paddling, with excellent opportunities for sunrise and sunset trips on the lake.

Beyond Round Lake itself, this access point opens up paddling possibilities to a chain of connected lakes—including Pike, Amik, and Turner lakes—offering extended exploration opportunities for more adventurous paddlers. The area is located within Chequamegon National Forest and also serves as a trailhead for the Flambeau Motorized Trail. A scenic 3.5-mile hiking trail circles the lake, making this a good destination for a full day of outdoor recreation.
