From this ramp, paddlers can explore Round Lake itself or venture into a chain of connected lakes including Pike, Amik, and Turner lakes, providing excellent opportunities for extended trips. The area is also part of the Chequamegon National Forest system and serves as a trailhead for the Flambeau Motorized Trail.
