Round Pond Boat Ramp provides convenient access to an 81-acre kettle hole pond in a scenic setting of spruce and white birch forest. The facility features a boat launch ramp suitable for trailer launching of small craft, with parking and amenities available on-site. To reach the ramp, take Weir Pond Road from Route 6, then turn onto Lincoln-Topsfield Road in Livermore.
Round Pond offers calm water conditions ideal for kayakers and canoeists, with a mean depth of 8 feet and maximum depth of 15 feet. In addition to paddling, the site provides opportunities for swimming, bank fishing, and wildlife watching. Note that the northeast and southwest ends of the pond should be given a 350-yard berth, while the west side requires a 200-yard buffer—likely due to shallow areas or underwater hazards.
This publicly-managed facility is well-suited for a relaxing paddle on a protected pond and makes a good base for exploring the scenic character of Maine's Appalachian region.
