Round Pond Harbor in Bristol offers a dedicated boat ramp facility for launching small trailers, with parking available for both trailered and untrailered vehicles. The site includes amenities such as toilet facilities and a floating dock system to assist with launching and retrieving vessels. This is an ocean-based access point on the Atlantic, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats.
**Navigation considerations**: Approach the harbor from the south by setting a course of approximately 19 degrees magnetic for 1 mile from green can buoy 9 (at Poland Ledge) to green can buoy 1 at the harbor entrance. Exercise caution at the northeast and southwest ends of Round Pond Harbor (give a 350-yard berth) and the west side (200-yard berth). Water depths at the entrance and inside the harbor range from 9 to 17 feet, with the northern side offering the best depths for navigation.
