The Route 466 access point is a single-lane boat ramp located within a nearby campground in Stoutsville and is available for registered campers. This ramp provides free access to Mark Twain Lake with no horsepower or boat length restrictions. Note that this location does not have a lighted parking area, so plan your launch and retrieval during daylight hours. If you need nighttime access or prefer a non-campground option, the second public ramp located off Highway 107 about 2 miles north offers a lighted parking lot and is also free to use.
Mark Twain Lake offers a scenic blend of natural resources and modern recreation facilities, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters alike. Before visiting, be aware that road construction may affect access—Route U has been subject to closures near MO 107, so check current conditions in advance to ensure the ramp is accessible.
