About This Access Site
**Location & Amenities:**
Located at the end of Rumbley Road in Westover, Somerset County, this free public boat ramp provides straightforward access to Goose Creek. The facility includes a single launching lane, parking for approximately 15 boat trailers, a pier, portable restrooms, and is adjacent to Goose Creek Marina (which offers pump-out services). The nearby Hideaway Grill Restaurant provides convenient dining options. The site is managed by the Somerset County Roads Department.

**Water Conditions & Character:**
Goose Creek is a large river system (Stream Order 6) with an average flow of approximately 76 cubic feet per second and moderate current velocity of about 3 feet per second. As a headwater stream in the early stages of a major drainage system, paddlers should expect Class I conditions typical of slower-moving tidal and near-coastal waterways. The creek eventually flows toward the ocean over a considerable distance (1,004 miles to the mouth). This site works well for recreational kayaking, canoeing, and motorboat access, particularly for those exploring the lower sections of the creek near the Fairmount Wildlife Management Area.
