About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Rush City Ferry provides boat ramp access to the Saint Croix River near Grantsburg in Burnett County, Wisconsin. The ramp is approximately 20 feet wide and suitable for launching most watercraft types. This site offers direct access to the river, which forms the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin.

**Paddling Considerations**
The Saint Croix River in this section is approximately 4-5 miles wide between major access points (such as the nearby Buckeye Street Ramp to The Cove Boat Ramp stretch of 4.8 miles). Paddlers should note that the river can be quite large at this location, making conditions variable depending on water levels and weather. While kayaking and canoeing are possible, paddlers should assess current conditions and plan distances accordingly. The area is also popular for fishing and recreational boating.

**Additional Information**
A county park sticker is typically required for access. Check with Burnett County Parks for current fees and any reciprocity agreements with your home county. For detailed river maps, camping zones, and flow conditions, visit the National Park Service website for the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway. The historic lift bridge in this area is a notable landmark along this stretch of river.
