This walk-in access point is located at the far northern end of Rush Lake off Osborne Road in Nepeuskun Township. This is a carry-in launch suitable for kayakers and canoeists seeking a quieter, less-developed entry point to the lake. Be aware that cattails may partially obstruct the narrow "cattail stream" connecting the access area to the main lake, particularly during certain seasons.
Rush Lake is a large, shallow freshwater lake covering approximately 2,729 acres with a maximum depth of 5 feet. The lake is popular for fishing (northern pike and panfish are common) and waterfowl hunting. Given the north access's remote location and limited use, this is a good option for paddlers looking to avoid crowds, though you should scout conditions beforehand and be prepared for potential vegetation in the connecting waterway. Additional boat ramps are available at other locations around the lake if you need an alternative launch point.
