S. (Hoffer) McClusky is a boat ramp access site located 2 miles north and ½ mile west of McClusky in Sheridan County, North Dakota. The Hoffer Lake Recreation Area offers a convenient public boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats, along with supporting amenities including 16 RV sites with water and electricity, tent camping, showers, picnic shelters, and a pavilion. The site is open year-round and accessible to the public.

Hoffer Lake marks the endpoint of the McClusky Canal system and is known for year-round fishing and recreation. **Important note for first-time users:** the south waterway provides very shallow water and should be avoided for launching.
