About This Access Site
Sackett Lake is a 60-acre lake in Taylor County near Medford, Wisconsin, offering a public boat ramp and beach access for paddlers and boaters. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 32 feet and is home to panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. **Note: No gas-powered motors are allowed on the lake**, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and electric boat users seeking a quieter paddling experience.

To reach the access site, travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for 4 miles, then turn west on County Trunk Highway M for 7 miles. Continue north on County Trunk Highway E for 6 miles, followed by a 1-mile turn east on Forest Road 102, then turn south—watch for signs to the boat ramp. The site provides both a boat launch and public beach access, with nearby Forest Service campgrounds available if you're planning an extended trip to the area.

The North Twin Campground will remain closed for the 2019 camping season. This closure only impacts the campground the boat landing remains open.
