The Sailing Club provides public boat ramp access to Keystone Lake, a scenic 16-recreation-area reservoir located just 20 minutes west of Tulsa. This day-use facility is part of the broader Keystone Lake recreation area, which features wooded shorelines, sandy beaches, high bluffs, and rolling grasslands. The ramp serves paddlers, sailboats, and motorboats accessing this popular destination.
Keystone Lake offers relatively calm conditions for kayaking and canoeing compared to the Arkansas River itself. The river below the Keystone Dam is a major waterway (Stream Order 10) with significant flow averaging over 51,000 cubic feet per second and an average velocity of 6.58 feet/second, making it suitable primarily for experienced paddlers with appropriate conditions. The lake itself provides gentler paddling opportunities with multiple access points and marinas nearby offering fuel, pump-out services, and supplies. Contact the park office at 918-596-5910 for current water levels and facility details before your visit.
