Sallie Lake

**Location & Access:** Sallie Lake is a 1,280-acre lake in Becker County near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The public boat ramp provides free access (unless within a park requiring a vehicle permit) and can accommodate most 12–18 foot boats, with some ramps handling larger vessels.

**Lake Characteristics:** With a maximum depth of 50 feet, Sallie Lake offers good paddling opportunities for kayakers and canoeists. The lake is connected to nearby Muskrat Lake via a mechanical boat tram, providing additional exploration options and access to the broader Detroit Lakes waterway system. The surrounding area includes wetland management districts and wildlife refuges, making it a scenic destination for paddlers interested in nature.
