About This Access Site
Scott's Ridge offers a convenient public boat ramp on the southwestern shore of Lake Conroe in Sam Houston National Forest. The two-lane concrete ramp accommodates various boat types and is accessible year-round through the National Forest Service. To reach the site from FM 1097, travel west approximately 1.5 miles and follow boat ramp signage. An adjacent parking area is available for vehicle and trailer parking.

This access point serves paddlers and boaters exploring Lake Conroe's calm waters. While the ramp itself provides easy launch access, note that Lake Conroe conditions can vary based on management by the San Jacinto River Authority, and ramp availability may be affected during certain closures. A day-use fee is required. Scott's Ridge is located about 2 miles north of FM 1097 on Forest Service Road 212, making it a straightforward takeout or launch point for day trips on the lake.
