Sampson Landing

Sampson Landing provides public boat ramp access to the Little Pee Dee River in Marion County, located at the end of Sampson Landing Road (an east turn from Woodbury Road). This facility offers a boat ramp and parking area, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the river's tributaries and side channels.

The Little Pee Dee River features a scenic, meandering course with wetland environments, including proximity to the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. The landing serves as one of several public access points along the 48-mile river system, making it ideal for day trips, wildlife viewing, and fishing. Paddlers should note that four public boat ramps are distributed throughout the river's length, offering multiple take-out and put-in options for multi-day or sectional paddling trips.
