About This Access Site
Sand Lake offers public boat access via a dedicated launch facility in Eagle River, located in Oneida County. This 318-acre lake features a maximum depth of 57 feet, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The lake's size and depth provide good opportunities for paddling across open water, though paddlers should be prepared for potentially larger waves on windy days.

The lake supports a diverse fishery including musky, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye, making it popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. Before visiting, check current access conditions and any seasonal restrictions. As with all Wisconsin water access sites, arrive early during peak season to secure parking and ramp space.
