Sandy Lake

Sandy Lake in Shevlin, Beltrami County offers excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters via two dedicated lake boat ramps. The site is part of the Sandy Lake Dam and Recreation Area, which provides comprehensive amenities including flush and vault restrooms, drinking water, showers, and a dump station. The campground is divided by the Sandy Lake Dam into north and south sections, each with separate vehicle access roads—note that only pedestrian traffic is allowed across the dam itself.
