Sandy Lake in Zimmerman, Sherburne County offers excellent access via the Sandy Lake Dam Recreation Area. The site features two dedicated lake boat ramps and one river boat ramp, plus docks and a fishing pier. The recreation area is divided by the dam into north and south sections with separate vehicle access roads; only pedestrians may cross the dam itself.
