Sandy Point Lodge and Marina offers a full-service boat launch facility on the western edge of Kabetogama Lake. The site features a dedicated boat ramp alongside a modern dock system with electricity, a protective breakwater, and amenities including a fish-cleaning house. This is a private resort facility, so paddlers and boaters should confirm access policies and any associated fees before launching.
Beyond the ramp, the lodge provides convenient on-site services for extended trips, including an on-site restaurant, cabin and hotel accommodations, and kayak/canoe rentals for those without their own watercraft. Kabetogama Lake offers scenic paddling with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The location provides access to the western portions of the lake and positions paddlers well for exploring the broader Voyageurs National Park area, a 218,000-acre wilderness of interconnected lakes, forests, and streams.
