About This Access Site
Sardis Lake's Frank Walker Landing provides access to the Little Tallahatchie River, a scenic waterway within the larger Sardis Lake reservoir. This boat ramp is conveniently located near the town of Abbeville, Mississippi, making it a popular launch site for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The ramp is part of the Paradise Point recreation area, which offers additional amenities like group picnic shelters that can be reserved for $100 per day. There is also a $5 per vehicle charge to use the swim beach. Boaters should note that spillway gate openings, flow rates, and water levels can be obtained by contacting the Paradise Point staff at (662) 563-4531 or checking online resources.

While the ramp provides reliable access to the river, paddlers should be aware of the Little Tallahatchie's character as it flows through the Sardis Lake basin. The river is generally calm and navigable, but water levels and flow can fluctuate based on dam operations, rainfall, and other factors. Checking conditions ahead of time is recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.
