About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Saulsbury Bridge Access is located within the Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area in Muscatine, about 6.5 miles north and west of downtown Muscatine (take Highway 61 north 2.5 miles on Mulberry Road, then 4 miles west on Saulsbury Road). The site offers dedicated boat ramps for both the Cedar River and Chicken Creek, making it a primary launching point for paddlers in the area.

**Facilities & Amenities:** This full-service recreation area is well-equipped for a day outing or extended visit. Beyond the boat ramps, you'll find a handicapped-accessible fishing dock, camping facilities, picnic shelters, hiking and equestrian trails, and playground equipment. The area also offers canoe and kayak rentals through the Muscatine County Conservation Board, with shuttle trips available (reservations required in advance; minimum of three canoes). This is one of only three public boat ramps on the Cedar River in Muscatine County.

**Planning Your Visit:** Contact the Muscatine County Conservation Board (katie.hammond@muscatinecountyiowa.gov) for current information on water conditions, rental availability, trip reservations, and specific hours of operation. The site is open from 6 a.m. daily, and parking is available in designated lots.
