**Location & Access**
Located near Schell City in Vernon County, Missouri, this boat ramp provides access to Atkinson Lake within the Schell-Osage Conservation Area. From El Dorado Springs, take Highway 54 west to Route AA, then head north 12 miles to Route RA and continue one mile east to reach the site. The conservation area encompasses over 900 acres of lakes and ponds set within diverse habitats including bottomland forest, grasslands, and prairie.

**Facilities & Conditions**
The site features an improved boat ramp designed to accommodate kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Recent enhancements through the Missouri Department of Conservation's Golden Anniversary Wetlands Initiative include new fishing jetties positioned around the lake's perimeter, which can provide useful reference points for paddlers. A primitive campground is also available on-site. Note that access to the east side of Schell Lake dam and First River Road remains closed to the public, so plan your route accordingly.
