Schwartz Creek

Schwartz Creek is a state fishing access site located in Clinton, MT, offering a gravel bar launch onto the Clark Fork River. This is a popular put-in for floaters planning trips downstream toward Turah (approximately 8-10 miles), one of the most commonly paddled sections of the Clark Fork. The site includes basic amenities such as toilets and has moderate ADA accessibility.

It's particularly popular with anglers and wade fishermen who want to explore the river corridor on foot. If you're planning a longer float, note that Turah is the standard takeout for this section—do not float beyond Turah, as the Milltown Dam blocks passage downstream and no additional takeouts are available in that stretch.
