Scottsmoor Landing is a 3-acre community river park providing access to the Indian River Lagoon in northern Brevard County. The facility features a single-lane boat ramp (recently repaired), alongside basic amenities including picnic tables, benches, and parking for 19 vehicles and 15 boats. Restroom facilities consist of porta-lets only, with no running water available. The launch area is noted for shallow water conditions, making it suitable for smaller boats, kayaks, and canoes.
The landing offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and fishing, with the Indian River Lagoon known for redfish and trout. The area is designated as part of Florida's Great Florida Birding Trail, with common sightings including dolphins, migratory ducks, shorebirds, waders, and painted buntings. The site's proximity to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and St. Johns National Wildlife Refuge makes it a good base for exploring protected natural areas in the region. Middle Dredge Campsite is available within 10 miles for those planning overnight trips.
