Sebasticook Lake

The Sebasticook Lake Boat Ramp is located on the west side of the lake off Elm Street in Newport and provides a well-maintained public access point for paddlers and boaters. The facility features a two-lane concrete ramp with an attached dock and paved parking area, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats. The mid-lake location offers straightforward water access without a long paddle to reach open water.

Sebasticook Lake supports a variety of recreational activities including fishing, cruising, and paddling. The lake's ecosystem is home to smallmouth bass, white perch, black crappie, and sea-run elwives, along with diverse bird species, making it attractive for anglers and wildlife observers. Nearby Carlton Pond Waterfowl Production Area offers additional exploration opportunities for those interested in wildlife viewing during their visit.
