About This Access Site
The Sedro-Woolley boat ramp at Riverfront Park offers year-round access to the Skagit River with a paved, gradually sloped 2-lane launch that accommodates all boat sizes, from kayaks and canoes to trailer boats. The facility includes ample parking and restroom facilities, making it a convenient put-in for recreational paddlers and anglers. This is a popular access point for both motorized and non-motorized boaters looking to explore the river.

From this location, paddlers can enjoy floating the Skagit River during summer months or fish for salmon, steelhead, and smelt. The area also features Riverfront Park amenities including picnic areas and playgrounds. Nearby, Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve—just downstream—offers additional paddling opportunities through extensive seagrass meadows, tidal flats, salt marshes, and sloughs, making this a good base for exploring both riverine and estuarine environments.
