The Seldovia Boat Ramp provides easy water access to Kachemak Bay, a scenic inlet of the Pacific Ocean on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. This well-developed boat launch is located just inside the Seldovia Harbor entrance, offering convenient access to restaurants, lodging, and other town amenities.
The ramp is free to use and open year-round, with transient moorage and a seaplane ramp also available at the Port of Seldovia. Kachemak Bay is known for its abundant marine life, dramatic volcanic scenery, and the Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, a 370-square-mile protected area nearby. Paddlers and boaters should exercise caution on the open waters of the bay, which can see strong winds and currents. The Seldovia Boat Ramp serves as a prime launch point for exploring this picturesque and wildlife-rich corner of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula.
