About This Access Site
Sequim Bay State Park offers a convenient saltwater launch located just west of the lower campground loop near Schoolhouse Point. The 92-acre park features a large boat ramp along with a 15-minute boat launch dock (no moorage permitted) and 424 feet of moorage space for overnight storage. The protected bay is ideal for kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders, with calm water conditions suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels.

The site provides excellent access for exploring the Sequim Bay shoreline and nearby waters, including views toward Protection Island and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Popular activities include crab fishing, oyster gathering in designated WDFW enhancement plots (primarily south of the ramp), and clam digging. The park's 4,909 feet of coastline offer good opportunities for paddlers to explore at their own pace.

Sequim Bay State Park is open year-round and includes a full campground with facilities, walking trails, and picnic areas. The nearby Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge and Protection Island National Wildlife Refuge add to the recreational appeal. The park is located approximately three miles southeast of Sequim, Washington, along Highway 101, making it easily accessible for day trips or longer stays.
