This boat ramp provides direct access to Shagawa Lake from County Road 88 on the lake's north side. The ramp is conveniently located immediately adjacent to the road, making it straightforward to locate and launch from. However, be aware that parking is very limited at this location, so plan accordingly, especially during peak season or weekends.
Shagawa Lake offers paddlers and boaters access to a scenic northern Minnesota lake near Ely. The northwest access point is one of two main entry points on the lake—if you find parking constraints here, the south side access may offer an alternative.
