About This Access Site
Sha-Ron is a day-use-only boat ramp located in East Missoula on the Clark Fork River, featuring a cement launch facility with trailer parking in the original parking area. The site is designated primarily as a **take-out point** rather than a launch location. Paddlers should note that launching here is not recommended due to hazardous conditions downstream, including a diversion dam, shallow braided channels, and multiple in-stream obstacles. Please respect adjacent private land by staying within the designated fence or on paved trails.

This access point is ideal for taking out after floating the Clark Fork's non-technical sections. The lower Blackfoot River Corridor and Lolo National Forest offer nearby recreation opportunities for those exploring the broader region. Silver Park serves as the last public exit before the Grass Valley diversion dam located 5.5 miles downstream, making Sha-Ron a convenient take-out for day floats in this area.
