About This Access Site
Located at 297 Pond Access Road in Shelburne, Vermont, this Fish and Wildlife Department-managed access site on Lake Champlain offers reliable facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The concrete ramp features a courtesy dock and reaches water depths of approximately 400 feet, making it suitable for various vessel types. The site includes ample parking (40 trailer spaces, 35 car spaces, and 2 ADA-accessible spots), restroom facilities, and a restroom building for visitor convenience.

The launch provides good access to Lake Champlain's main basin, making it an ideal starting point for recreational paddling and boating. The proximity to the Recreation Path and Ti-Haul Trail (just over a mile long, connecting to Harbor Road) offers paddlers the option to combine water and land-based recreation. **Note:** Check current conditions before visiting, as the launch may have periodic maintenance closures. For those interested in river paddling, Shelburne River Park (nearby on the La Platte River) offers an alternative access point for upstream or downstream paddling toward Lake Champlain.
