Shirley Creek Park

Shirley Creek Park offers a four-lane boat ramp providing access to Sam Rayburn Reservoir on the Angelina River in Nacogdoches County. The ramp is designed to accommodate all boat types, including kayaks and canoes, making it a convenient launch point for paddlers. This recreation area is not reservable, so access is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

**Important note for paddlers:** The ramp may become unusable during low water levels, which is common on reservoirs during dry seasons or drought conditions. It's recommended to check current lake levels before making the trip. The facility is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Sam Rayburn Reservoir system, which offers numerous other access points and marinas in the area if this ramp is unavailable.
