About This Access Site
Signal Point provides direct access to Lookout Point Reservoir, a 4,300-acre impoundment on the Middle Fork Willamette River in the Cascade Range near Lowell. This is one of three primary launch sites on the reservoir (along with Meridian and Hampton parks) and serves kayakers, canoeists, and boaters seeking to explore this scenic water body. The launch is most suitable for non-motorized and smaller watercraft; check current water levels with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before launching, as reservoir levels fluctuate seasonally and can affect launch conditions.

The area offers excellent paddling opportunities, with access extending to Blue River Reservoir when water levels permit. Several campgrounds are located nearby, including Black Canyon Campground and Clark Creek Organization Camp (both within 10 miles), making it convenient for multi-day paddling trips. Dexter Lake and Fall Creek Lake provide alternative recreation areas within the region if you're exploring multiple water bodies during your visit.
